What is it?
The Retro style is the vintage look of the 50s, 60s and 70s and it has been undergoing a revival in the recent years because of its playfulness.
Generally speaking, the emphasis is on bulky round shapes and eye-catching patterns.
It has to be one of my favourites – it is fun, very colourful and it can be very quirky..in pure Curious Homes style.
Pulling it together is fairly easy as there are really no rules apart from perhaps going a bit over the top!
It is possible to find authentic retro accessories from those decades in second hand shops or if you’re lucky you might find the odd item at a car boot sale.
Alternatively, as a result of this style’s popularity, most home decor shops now stock Retro style accessories so that you can get the look in no time at all.
